Given this, the frame here has been taken from a story fiction i.e. it wasn't real. And so, any effort to revise it can't be interpreted as censorship because doing so necessitates that the original was true (and not a fiction) in the first place. Additionally, using such an example as evidence of supposed censorship can be seen as an effort to advance a 'presentism' argument through justifying present-day criticism of cultural sensitivities through contrasting these with an insensitive example from the past.
