#WebsiteVisionProjectLesStone "In Louisiana, stretching 80 miles from New Orleans to Baton Rouge, there lays one of the most polluted areas of the United States. Because of the dense cluster of oil refineries, petro-chemical plants and other chemical industries, this area is known as Cancer Alley. Designated as an enterprise zone, loose oversight has enabled industry to release into the environment extremely toxic materials. Recent studies have found that the entire population of this region has been exposed to thousands of toxic chemicals and very little is being done to clean up the mess. Cancer and respiratory problems are widespread. Greenpeace has labeled Cancer Alley a Global Toxic Hotspot." [pdf]
"The notion that CO2 drives climate change is junk
The reason for this is simple, the notion that Co2 drives global warming is unfounded despite claims made by many today.
Heat is kinetic energy, the energy of motion it does not get trapped by CO2 because it's a gas.
Yet this is the theory pushed by many climate change scientists.
To describe the impact of CO2 as being like a greenhouse is farcical. A greenhouse works by using a solid object to trap convection before the air cools and condenses. CO2 is not a solid object.
CO2 absorbs and emits radiation. It does not trap convection. Furthermore it absorbs and emits incoming radiation at 2.8 microns while only absorbing outgoing radiation at 14.8 microns.
Applying planks rule e=hv, the incoming radiation absorbed by CO2 is 5 times more powerful than the outgoing radiation absorbed.
Regardless, as Einstein said in 1917, the amount of energy transferred by radiation is so small it always drops out.
The most powerful form of heat transfer in the atmosphere is convection which is governed by the second law of thermodynamics. The entropy of a system must always increase.
As such hot air will rise not fall. Outer space is negative 270 degrees Celsius. Our atmosphere is always losing heat because of this differential. (Thanks to Senator Gerard Rennick)
It's also alleged that renewables are 'cheaper than fossil fuels.' But this is misleading as green energy receives massive government subsidies and the cost of manufacture and installation are not included in official figures.
It has been estimated that the world, mainly industrialised nations have spent somewhere between 750,000 billion to one trillion dollars on trying to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere. This includes building and installing 341,000 wind turbines and huge solar projects.
In over 30 years humanity has not succeeded in reducing CO2 levels as they have gone from 338ppm in 1980 to over 418ppm today. And what has happened? Nothing of consequence. Data shows that extreme weather events have DECLINED sharply; sea levels have remained stable as have ice coverage over the planet (Professor Ivan Frolov (Climate Change in Eurasian Arctic Shelf Seas, Centennial Ice Cover Observations.)"

#PhenomnEnergyFuelBioSupplementary "The primary reason for rising gas prices over the past year is the coronavirus pandemic and its disruptions to global supply and demand.
'Covid changed the game, not President Biden,' said Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy, which tracks gasoline prices. 'U.S. oil production fell in the last eight months of President Trump's tenure. Is that his fault? No.'
'The pandemic brought us to our knees,' Mr. De Haan added. In the early months of 2020, when the virus took hold, demand for oil dried up and prices plummeted, with the benchmark price for crude oil in the United States falling to negative $37.63 that April. In response, producers in the United States and around the world began decreasing output. As pandemic restrictions loosened worldwide and economies recovered, demand outpaced supply. That was 'mostly attributable' to the decision by OPEC Plus, an alliance of oil-producing countries that controls about half the world's supply, to limit increases in production, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. Domestic production also remains below prepandemic levels, as capital spending declined and investors remained reluctant to provide financing to the oil industry.
Russia's invasion of Ukraine has only compounded the issues. 'When you throw a war on top of this, this is possibly the worst escalation you can have of this,' said Abhiram Rajendran, the head of oil market research at Energy Intelligence, an energy information company. 'You're literally pouring gasoline on general inflationary pressure.'" https://www.nytimes.com/2022/03/09/us/politics/fact-check-republicans-biden-gas.html #OrgIntlOrganizationOfThePetroleumExportingCountriesOPEC #BrandGasBuddy #PhenomnEnergyFuelFossil

Paper Abstract: "As the planet warms, new authoritarian movements in the West are embracing a toxic combination of climate denial, racism and misogyny. Rather than consider these resentments separately, this article interrogates their relationship through the concept of petro-masculinity, which appreciates the historic role of fossil fuel systems in buttressing white patriarchal rule. Petro-masculinity is helpful to understanding how the anxieties aroused by the Anthropocene can augment desires for authoritarianism. The concept of petro-masculinity suggests that fossil fuels mean more than profit; fossil fuels also contribute to making identities, which poses risks for post-carbon energy politics. Moreover, through a psycho-political reading of authoritarianism, I show how fossil fuel use can function as a violent compensatory practice in reaction to gender and climate trouble."
