@DustinWishon [name pseudonymized] [ontology] [03]: An Open Letter to Chris Hedges: Racism, Not 'Cancel Culture' is the Problem [URL redacted] #CancelCulture #racism #woke [URL redacted]

Context #WebsiteScheerPost "The cancel culture, with its public shaming on social media, is the boutique activism of the liberal elites. It allows faux student radicals to hound and attack those deemed to be racist or transphobic, before these 'radicals' graduate to work for corporations such as Goldman Sachs, which last year paid $9 million in fines to settle federal allegations of racial and gender pay bias. Self-styled Marxists in the academy have been pushed out of economic departments and been reborn as irrelevant cultural and literary critics, employing jargon so obscure as to be unreadable. These 'radical' theorists invest their energy in linguistic acrobatics and multiculturalism, with branches such as feminism studies, queer studies and African-American studies. The inclusion of voices often left out of the traditional academic canon certainly enriches the university. But multiculturalism, moral absolutism and the public denunciations of apostates, by themselves, too often offer escape routes from critiquing and attacking the class structures and systems of economic oppression that exclude and impoverish the poor and the marginal." https://scheerpost.com/2020/07/13/chris-hedges-dont-be-fooled-by-the-cancel-culture-wars/

@DustinWishon [name pseudonymized] [ontology] [03]: Michael Harriot: Critical race theory is the whitest thing. The backlash against diversity, critical race theory and “wokeness” is not anti-Black. It’s even whiter than that. [URL redacted] #woke #CRT #race #Diversity [URL redacted]
#IRLAuthorMichaelHarriot "Whiteness is why anti-racism exists. Whiteness is why critical race theory exists. Black people wouldn't need to 'stay woke' if white supremacy hadn't lulled this country to sleep. The best legal institutions in America wouldn't teach critical race theory if the laws were not racist. If oppression didn't affect Black people's health, universities wouldn't rearrange centuries-old medical curriculums to teach students about systems of oppression. If America's institutions were diverse, equitable or inclusive, they wouldn't have to create departments for diversity, equity and inclusion. @DustinWishon [name pseudonymized] [ontology] [03]: These hypocritical, "woke" companies like General Motors, Ford, Quicken Loans are funding Fox News on the low. I just thought you should know. [URL redacted] #FoxNews #Woke #Hypocrites #secrets #Corporate [URL redacted]
#NMUSFOXFNC #AdvocacyUSMediaMattersForAmericaMMFAMadelinePeltz, #AdvocacyUSMediaMattersForAmericaMMFAAlexWalker "I completely agree! Major Michigan-based corporations have declared their opposition to proposed legislation in Michigan fueled by Republican election integrity lies, which would severely restrict access to voting in the state. Fox News has been amplifying these lies about the danger of non-existent voter fraud since the election last year, and these lies eventually led to a violent insurrection on January 6 and have helped fuel state-level voter suppression bills like those being pushed in Michigan. But some of these same Michigan companies taking a stand against voter suppression are among Fox News' biggest advertisers, including General Motors, Ford, and Quicken Loans. Their practice of advertising on Fox directly contradicts the companies' declared principles on voting rights." https://www.mediamatters.org/fox-news/these-michigan-companies-claim-oppose-voter-supression-are-funding-fox-news #PhenomnVoterSuppression
