Addendum #ReasoningFallacyWhataboutism where the prospect of 'white slavery' is used to diminish the reality of actual slavery. The statement's logic betrays a particular preponderance with skin colour where the mere act of switching from black to white is used to diminish the significance of the atrocity - following a logic along the lines of: "because there were white slaves before black slaves then it is no longer worth considering the plight (and therefore consequence for the ancestors of) black slaves" - in short, the history and historical consequences of slavery aren't worth consideration...
