Addendum it's interesting the way that this metaphor works i.e. while there's something to be said for the #CharacterisationStrengthRobustness of early mobile phones, the reality is they weren't 'smart' (and have even been referred to as 'dumb' - making this conversation one where a 'dumb phone' lectures their 'smart' children about why it's better to be strong and stupid). It is the idea of being 'basic' and therefore, more #PleaAuthenticity.ic - unencumbered by the weight of 'culture' i.e. #MetaphorVersusCultureNature).
