Addendum this appears to present a criticism, which is wholly based on #TheoryCulturalImperialismWestern however the argument actually sits within a broader frame, one positioned in terms of #TheoryInstrumentalism - that #CatchcryDifferingOpinionsAsNeutralPerspectives, when in reality criticism of #ToponymEastMiddleQatar's outlawing of #IdentityLGBTQIA rights is actually about #IRLPhilosopherKarlPopper's #TheoryToleranceParadox - that supporting such laws, makes you complicit in promoting intolerance, which by its nature undemocratic i.e. anti #CatchcryFreeSpeechFreedomOfSpeech - anti the very thing, which Walsh consistently argues for. So, in this sense, Walsh's argument can only be interpreted as disingenuous (and likely, opportunistic).
