#woke #PrettyWoman [URL redacted]
"A movie like Pretty Woman; I really don't understand how that can be broadcast in 2021. So wrong, Richard Gere buying companies, cutting them up, and reselling them for a profit. Disgusting and unethical." #IRLActorRichardGere [Wikipedia] #PoliticsCapitalismAssetStripping [Wikipedia]

@EdenEnzer [name pseudonymized] [ontology] : And this is what's wrong with the world! Some woke baby is moaning once again. No doubt that this film will be 'cancelled' soon. One of the classics soon to disappear because someone is offended. You agree @calvinrobinson?? #PrettyWoman #juliaroberts #richardgere #woke [URL redacted]
"This film does not age well. The glorification of prostitution shows how patriarchy has dominated Hollywood for far too long. What is missing over the years is a look at Richard Gere's character. What's wrong with that guy? A whole lot, actually. He makes a living buying and selling companies only to leave many of the newly 'purchased' employees without a job. He is rude to service staff and mansplains for Julia Robert's character. The notion their purely commercial sexual relationship can somehow lead to true love is laughable and insulting. Gere's misogynistic Donald Trump-like character is incapable of loving anyone but himself." #SlurProstitution #TauntMansplaining #PhenomnPragmatismTransactionalism [Wikipedia]
