Addendum: I wonder how much perspectives such as this are shaped (determined) by strategic efforts to undermine the neutrality of UK media - namely, the #NMUKBBC's mandate to report with impartiality and the limited opportunity for those with money to unduly influence public debate through privately sponsored television (as seems to be the case in the US).
